As a member of the ACD, you will have access to all the fantastic activities organised by the ACD, such as lectures, excursions, sporting events, weekend trips, the trip abroad and much more. You will also receive our association magazine, which will keep you informed of the latest developments in chemistry and the ACD. You can also make use of our services, such as discounts on your textbooks.
You can become a member of the ACD if you are going to study a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and/or VU University Amsterdam (VU). You can also become a member if you are only taking a few chemistry courses at these universities, such as a minor or major in chemistry. If you are not eligible but would still like to become a member, please send an email to the ACD board (bestuur@acdweb.nl).
For just €30 (Bachelor's in Chemistry) or €20 ((Pre-)Master's in Chemistry), you can become a member until you graduate. Your membership is only complete once you have paid. You can do this by transferring the requested amount to NL45 INGB 0000154992 in the name of Amsterdams Chemisch Dispuut, stating 'full name + Bachelor's/Master's membership'. You can also pay by debit card at a later date in the ACD room, which is located in room A0.09 at the Science Park. You can then create an account on the website by clicking on the 'Become a member' button on this page, where you can fill in all the information we need to process your membership. Once this account has been created, it will be activated by the board as soon as possible. Once this has been done, you will receive an email with a one-time login link, after which you can create a password.
Please note: you will only be granted access to the website once you have paid your membership fee.
